Then he or she might be interested in The Well, a free, week-long, Christian-based summer theology camp to be held at UF in July. Tree Campus USA For the firsit time, UF has been received a Tree Campus USA designation from the Arbor Day Foundation. Ben Dolan, Ph.D., is supervising an inventory and arboreal management program. OTD Program The University plans to add a Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program to its graduate school repertoire! It has been granted applicant status with the ACOTE. Students may begin applying in fall 2018. Classes will start in June 2019. Cultural Connections If you haven't met Ayane Hida, you should. Since she arrived two years ago, the Mazza Museum's Japanese Outreach Initiave coordinator has introduced interesting activities and programs, on campus and in the region, for people of all ages. Computers and Writing Conference The 2017 Computers and Writing Conference, a national annual event that draws communication instructors and practitioners from near and far, will be held at the University of Findlay from June 1-4. Our own Elkie Burnside, Ph.D., is organizing the event. Japanese Photography Works by Kazuyoshi Miyoshi featuring world heritage sites in Japan, such as Hiroshima and Kyoto, are on exhibit in the Lea Gallery and at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts. The Mazza Museum has coordinated both exhibits. Pharmacy Mural Pharmacy students Dylan Atkins and Kyle Gildow have painted a mural, titled "The Evolution of Medicine," for the College of Pharmacy. Its unveiling was Friday, March 17. Check it out in the Davis Street Building. Mazza Summer Conference The Mazza Museum's 2017 Summer Conference will feature nine acclaimed artists, illustrators and authors. The three-day event will be held from July 17-19. Museum Director Ben Sapp said schedule changes will provide enhanced service for participants.
